World's Most Disorganized Dev Log.

Warning! I've no fucking clue what I'm doing! Amateur graphics and jank code ahead!

Liminal Space: 5 strangers are stuck in a desert motel. When night falls, they find that they've been taken to a foggy, parallel world full of monsters. They must work together to survive, or die in this Liminal Space.

Barest of premises, but elevator pitch is like: Silent Hill and Clocktower, with an eerie abandoned aesthetic. Main characters will be Sarah, Seth, Ash, Dahlia, and (???). Also there's a dog that you can control, but that's something I still need to figure out. Maybe he can act as a save point? Hm.

9-17-2025: By techinicality, I started this project a week ago, but I've been bogged down with school and work. This week is technically my first one where I ca spend a couple days relaxing, and even then I can feel my brain sinking into ennui. I managed to get some sprites done, drew up a placeholder background, and figured out how to script some events. AND! This is my most important discovery yet -- you can CLICK on events in MV! This changes EVERYTHING. And by that, I mean, it opens up a few fun possibilities. I've also finished Sarah and Seth's idle animations, and Sarah's walk cycle:

HAHAHA! I feel accomplished! All that's left is to draw the run cycle, make a "hiding place", and implement the monsters. Maybe figure out how to do chase scenes from there. All that said, I'm happy with how things are going. Maybe I'll actually make a game with this.
